Last Year: New Mexico Xtreme Sports Association proudly announces the two winners of the Camp Woodward trips through our premiere amateur skateboarding competition series in New Mexico, the “Young Guns Shootout.” Kevil Vigil, 14, was the overall winner of the Shootout series, amassing 22 points throughout the three events. Vigil won the 9-13 age division in the June and July events, then after turning 14 recently placed third in the 14-18 division to beat his closest competitor Marcus Gallegos by only two points. The winner of the “most deserving” category was 11-year old Devyn Flanner. Devyn participated in all three events and actually finished 3rd in the overall points standing. Devyn, who continuously impressed the judges and noticeably improved at each event, was chosen for his great attitude and his ability to tremendously improve through a week at Woodward.
